Gretchen Lee is a Music Therapist Accredited and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who works from a warm, relational, and developmentally supportive approach. She completed her Master of Music Therapy at Wilfrid Laurier University, and holds a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance with a World Music certification from the University of Toronto.

Gretchen has experience facilitating both individual and group music therapy with children with autism and neurodevelopmental differences, along with providing music psychotherapy in mental health settings for individuals navigating anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addiction, and complex emotional experiences. She has also supported individuals and their families in medical and end-of-life care, using music to promote comfort, grounding, and meaning-making

At Bright Futures Health, Gretchen provides music-centred psychotherapy that supports children in emotional regulation, communication, sensory needs, social engagement, and self-expression. Her approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and guided by curiosity and attunement. She values caregiver involvement and believes in collaborative, family-centred care, where children feel safe to explore and families feel supported throughout the therapeutic process.

She believes music therapy is more than an intervention, but a relationship and a space where children can feel seen, heard, and empowered in their growth. Gretchen is honoured to support children and families at Bright Futures with empathy, creativity, and a deep respect for their strengths and stories

I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a Master of Social Work (MSW), providing support to children, youth, and families as they navigate emotional, behavioural, and relational challenges. My practice is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and integrates elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed practice, and Solution-Focused approaches.

I have experience supporting young people experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, and the impacts of stress or trauma. In my work with families, I focus on strengthening communication, building connection, and helping caregivers understand and support their child’s needs. I strive to meet children and families where they are, creating a warm and collaborative space where each person feels heard and respected. Together, we work to identify goals, build coping skills, and foster resilience, confidence, and meaningful change.
